At a meeting on July 14, 2020, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine began voting for bill No.2285-D “On State Regulation of Activities for the Organization and Conducting of Gambling” in the second reading.<\/p>\n
\n“I am putting to the vote the proposal for acception in the second reading and, in general, with the necessary technical and legal amendments, the draft law “On State Regulation of Activities for the Organization and Conducting of Gambling”. I ask you to support and vote, “- Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
The deputy’s votes were divided as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n
FOR -248 votes;<\/p>\n
AGAINST – 95 votes;<\/p>\n
ABSTAINED – 17 deputies;<\/p>\n
NO VOTE – 27 deputies.<\/p>\n
Thus, the bill No.2285-D was accepted in the second reading.<\/strong><\/p>\n
The current law introduces criminal liability for organizing gambling without a license to operate. Halls with slot machines can be placed only in hotels that have three, four or five stars. Also, the law provides the regulation of “classic” lotteries.<\/p>\n
