Gaming Federation Is Being Established in the Balkans

Seven associations of gaming operators from Balkan countries signed cooperation agreements in Belgrade. The newly formed alliance has been named the Balkan Gaming Federation, with the aim of promoting market interests in the region and further strengthening ties with neighboring countries.

The organization includes associations from Serbia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and North Macedonia, reports GamingPost citing iGaming Today.

They represent various segments of the gambling industry and related fields—from land-based and online casinos to game developers.

Among the stated priorities are combating illegal operators, ensuring fair competition among licensed companies, and even exchanging business approaches. Another goal is to attract foreign investment to the region’s gaming industry. To this end, the federation plans to hold joint events.

Most of the associations joining the new organization are also part of broader coalitions, including EUROMAT (European Gaming and Amusement Federation). However, it has now become clear that there is a strong desire to work specifically at the regional level.
