A few days ago, the names of applicants for the position of the Head of the Commission for Supervision of the Gaming Business became officially known. Among them:
• Valery Omelchenko, son-in-law of the ex-head of the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Vasily Dzharty;
• Alexander Khomyak, ultimate beneficiary of the law firm 'Khomyak and Partners';
• Pavel Ponomarev, who has corporate rights at 'Skill & Case Law Firm';
• Ivan Rudy, ATO veteran, whom Zelensky chose as secretary of the Advisory Council for War Veterans, Families of the Deceased Defenders of Ukraine.
On the official Telegram channel of Oleg Nemchinov, yesterday appeared a statement that the Head of the Commission for the Supervision of the Gaming Business had been selected.
“Ivan Rudy was elected to the position of Chairman of the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries. He has experience and knowledge in management, international relations and finance. He is a participant in hostilities and was a member of the national team of Ukraine at the "Games of the Unconquered" in the Netherlands.
In general, 378 people expressed their desire to take part in the selection. 42 people were allowed to be interviewed, 20 of them applied for the vacant position of the Chairman of the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries and 32 people - for members of the commission. Some candidates applied simultaneously for several vacancies ”.
Nemchinov also noted that the procedure for selecting the Chairman of the Commission fully complied with the laws on appointment to public service positions for the period of quarantine.
Elena Vodolazhko and Evgeny Getman were also elected to the positions of members of the Commission:
“Elena Vodolazhko is a professional lawyer, a member of the Ukrainian Bar Association, has significant experience in government agencies, as well as experience in cooperation with government regulatory agencies in the development and implementation of regulatory acts. Evgeny Getman has experience in international cooperation, including with NATO (coordinator of international projects), experience in regulatory bodies and experience in managing public utilities and private enterprises. "
Nemchinov also announced that an additional recruitment for other positions of members of the Commission was announced.
