Spanish payment services are now receiving a fairly large number of inquiries from their clients, the largest percentage of which are in the gambling sector and in relation to transactions in other markets, including Latin America, Asia and some African countries. In general, around the world, analysts have noted an increase in profitability in the online gambling segment. So last week, the UK Gambling Commission published statistics, according to which from October 2018 to September 2019, transactions in this segment increased by 3.9% compared to the same previous period. In the online betting sector, the indicators grew by 4.3%, in online bingo - by 12.5%.
A report on the global online gambling market and the impact of COVID-19 on it, presented in May, highlighted the expectations for the global online gambling market to grow from $58.9 billion in 2019 to $66.7 billion in 2020. In addition, the document said that the projected market for online gambling in 2023 will reach - £92.9 billion.
