Colombia's gambling regulator Coljuegos announces that a new license has been issued to a sports betting exchange called Betfair. This is already the 17th license for online gambling business. Its validity period is 5 years. The regulator estimates the revenues for the country's budget from entering the Betfair market at 23 billion Colombian pesos (or 6.5 million dollars).
The company accepts bets on both sports and non-sports events. The platform also provides customers with the opportunity to play slots, roulette and blackjack.
Note that the first licensees in the country in 2017 were an online casino under the Wplay.co brand. By 2020, the country's budget received more than $65 million from gambling.
