Question by Robert S: Are these online poker websites that want money to give you cheating software legit?
I see these websites that say if you pay 50 dollars they will give you software so you can see your opponents cards playing online poker during a hand. I searched just being curious and i found so many different ones but all wanting at least 50 for the software. I play online poker this makes me so sick! Are these sites legit because looking at them they look pretty legit to me! Any input on this I would definitely appreciate.

Stay away from online gambling, it will make you lose more than what you win. Gambling addiction is a major issue in todays society, and defninitely not worth going bankrupt for.

Well, I have been playing on pokerstars for about 7 years now but just found out about the whole rigging software. So I wanted to make a switch to partypoker in protest, but they won’t allow US customers. Party poker also lets you do sports bets and online roulette which I like.

You don’t. You can use proxies to fool the site into thinking you are from another country, but then your address, credit card number etc. will give it away.

at my pub I run a poker tournament every week which is good fun but its too much luckfest not enough skill, sport.

will i annoy all the regulars if i turn it into a cometishian format (no cash buyin, no cash prizes) and each week only we play for glory?

There comes a time in everyone’s life where they feel the need to get away from the money aspect and move up to a more serious level. This is where cometishians come into play. I’d assume that the regulars should understand that money is just money and pride is what everyone truly wants to achieve, if they fail to understand this and you actually do annoy them then they are not at the level you are at. If that is the case I recommend trying a different pub or perhaps put an ad out to bring true players in. Good luck with setting up your cometishian and I hope you conquer everything you desire.

Rec.Gambling.poker (or RGP) is a newsgroup for poker players. You can find it in Google Groups. There are also forums like 2 + 2 publishing and pokerpages.com.

No, there’s no way of doing this. There’s a good ebook on the poker bot review blog that explains the different types of poker bots and how they work.
