Question by Da Surf Man: Is it legal for people under 21 in Florida to play free online poker? (Texas hold ‘em)?
I’m 15 and I was wondering if it was legal for a person my age to play FREE online poker. Just against other people and stuff. Thanks! Oh and I’m in Florida if that changes anything.

Possibly, it depends on what the website’s definition of “free” is. If you really want to play though, go to http://www.pogo.com . No money is ever exchanged unless you buy a pay account with them and you can play all you want without winning or losing any real cash.

Texas holdem you get to acrds in your hand five on the board highest hand wins heres hand orders pair two pair three pair staright flush staright flush full house four of a kind and royal flush you have 5 betting rounds if you have a bad hand hand you can still win by bluffing and making your oppenent fold there hand.

No Limit Texas Hold’Em

Basic rules go…
-you’re given two cards
-round of betting occurs in order
-flop comes, 3 community cards
-round of betting occurs
-turn comes, 1 card on the community board
-round of betting occurs
-the river card completes the 5 on the board
-round of beting, followed by a showdown

now..anyone can go all in at any time on their turn to bet, and if they are vs 1 perosn, everyone turns up their cards…also, most hands dont go all the way to the river due to people folding out instead of calling or raising

Five card draw is the most common one I noticed – but they have pretty much every variation of poker you could think of in Vegas.

Question by Steve Palumbo: I need help playing my online No Limit Texas Hold em tournaments! Are there any software programs I can use?
Ok, so I just started playing online no limit Texas Hold em poker tournaments and don’t really know the game that well. I don’t play anything else other than No Limit Texas Hold em. I stick to playing the tournaments because I feel they last longer. Online poker tournaments are way funner because there is no pressure from versus live Texas Hold em tournaments. Anyways, My question is are there any software programs out there that are good and directed towards only “online No Limit Texas Hold em tournaments”? I don’t play anything else so it has to be that. I have been searching and there are programs, but when I type in “online No Limit Texas Hold em tournaments” the software programs are hard to weave through. There are way too many poker software programs out there and I was hoping I can get some feedback here. Thanks!

Dude, I definatly know what you mean. I am fairly new myself to online poker, but have managed to take down a few $ 1,000 no limit texas hold em tournaments myself. I know of a poker software program that a friend of mine is about to launch. I beta tested it and it is pretty sweet and is geard strictly towards online no limit texas hold em tournament play. This is a poker software so I think it would suit you well. Check out http://www.pokerbetter.com as they are the only website selling this type of poker software. I think it may not be out yet so you might just need to fill in you name and email and they will let you know when it is up for sale. Hope this helped! Good luck with your online poker tournaments!

I always hear that online you can see the people so its more of a guesing game what different strategies should be taken for online poker

Online poker plays alot faster. The shuffle is instantaneous. The players have the ability to act in advance and not change the other players actions. The money does not seem like money because you can not spend it on groceries or such.

There is a social aspect to playing live. You can see the player face to face when they are bluffing.

I would like to know if there’s a poker at Shreveport Texas Casino? I have never been to Shreveport Casino. If there’s a poker room at the Casino could someone please provide the address and best way to get there from Dallas Texas? I am heading that way in couple of weeks and since I will be passing through… I would like to stop by and check out their poker room. I normally go to choctaw and winstar.
