Does anyone know where I can play chess online against other humans, that had a ranking system and tournaments?
Question by Andrew: Does anyone know where I can play chess online against other humans, that had a ranking system and tournaments?
I am trying to find a place where I can play chess online where I play other humans in real time. I also want the site to have a ranking system so I can track my progress. Also, if it exists, I would prefer the site had 3D boards. I’m pretty much looking for a thing like Full Tilt Poker but for chess.
Thanks

What is a decent online poker system that can be charged with $ with paypal or a credit card?
Question by bryan w: What is a decent online poker system that can be charged with $ with paypal or a credit card?
I’m currently playing on Poker Stars for free and was going to add like 20 bucks, just to see how I did. However, it wouldnt let me use paypal OR my visa. I don’t want to really go through the hassle of money orders and stuff like that. Does anyone know of a different system (ie: full tilt and ones like that) that can be charged through paypal or a visa?

You should check Full Tilt Poker, they are the second biggest poker room and accept credit card.
In addition with Full Tilt Poker you can get rakeback that allow you to get more money.
For more information you can check the link below. They list also other rooms with the different deposit and cashout option.

It seems like every site (except Party Poker which is no good in the US anymore) makes you play an unreasonable number of hands before you get your bonus. Or they make you play to the flop which just promotes sloppy play… Are there any sites with good initial bonuses that don’t require either of these things?
After looking at that site (ultimate bet), it looks to me like you have to play many more than 6500 raked hands to get your bonus which isn’t even given out in dollars… it’s bonus dollars which I have to bet to convert into cash!

There’s several ways you could do it, but I’d need more information to give you some ideas.
Like how much time do you have, how many tournaments are you going to run, and how many people are going to be showing up at your tournaments.
One way, you could run weekly tournaments for say 6 months. The entry fee, something like . goes to a prize pool for the tournament, and goes to a pool for the WSOP prize package.
So if you ran a tournament every week for 6 months, it would be around 24 tournaments. You would need 100 people for each tournament to get ,000, which would be for a ,000 entry fee, and ,000 for expenses.
