The only way to become a prop player for your local card room would be to ask them the requirements. Most casinos/cardrooms don’t need prop players its more of an online thing

Q&A: What is the best online poker room?
Question by Mister: What is the best online poker room?
My question is actually in two parts. And what I mean by “best online poker room,” I’m asking about what is the best overall and which has the most credibility.
1) From what I’ve read, PokerStars is the best, with Full Tilt coming in second.
2) Is it worth playing online at all, considering the fact that a lot of people play using bots and other programs to give them a stronger advantage?
The biggest concern I have about playing online is whether or not it will help improve my game, considering you obviously can’t see the players faces or study their body language. I’ve been doing very well at poker rooms in Vegas this past year, but I don’t live there and I’m not ready to quit my job and go professional until I at least make it to the final round of a major tournament. But it would be nice to be able to practice with other serious players when not in Vegas.
I’ve been a bit technophobic when it comes to this sort of thing, but if it really does help improve one’s game and strategy at brick-and-mortar tournaments, I suppose it’s worth a shot.

Do they use Jumbo Cards at the Turning Stone Casino poker room?

Question by justin02852: Do they use Jumbo Cards at the Turning Stone Casino poker room?
I really do not like Jumbo Cards..I’m heading up to NY this week to play and I would like to know what to expect
Best answer:
Answer by ZCT
I’ve honestly never seen a casino use them, except in the Australian casino during a tournament. The chances are very slim that you will see those jumbo cards you hate so much.

I Need a good online poker room , Europe hours! any thoughts?

Question by avidfr: I Need a good online poker room , Europe hours! any thoughts?
I was wondering if anyone knows a good online poker site, not necessarly a European one, but with good tourneys, and especially some that start around 10 or 11 pm, not at 4:00am, like most U.S player targeted rooms… for the moment I play at Bugsy’s Club, which I like but the hours are just too off.
Any recommendations?
What I love is cheap SAT tournaments that lead to good prize tourney.
Thanks

Online Poker is so popular, tournaments are pretty much all day, without worry about where you live.
Cheap buy-ins and huge prizes are a great draw, these are the sites that have the most competition and fun.

You have to be 21. And the Casino will check your ID. If for some reason you get in and play with a fake ID, you will be in big trouble in a casino. Not only will you not get your winnings but they will also call the cops and they will take you away. There are very strict gaming rules,

Is the money that poker room staff recieve from Las vegas Poker tournaments regulated and legal?
Question by get dough: Is the money that poker room staff recieve from Las vegas Poker tournaments regulated and legal?
Seems to me they have forms but do not pay taxes on the alleged money. I understand dealers have some sort of a tip compliance but their floor people do not…

Because there’s no cash in play in tournaments, the dealers ‘tips’ come from the add-on that the house charges on top of your entry fee. As such, it is paid to them directly from the casino, and reported as income in the “Allocated tips” box of their W-2.
Tips that the dealers get for dealing cash games is, in ‘most’ places, pooled. That means that they all put the tips in a pot, and it’s shared out by the house. Again, since it’s shared out by the house, it’s reported as allocated tops on the W-2.
Whether or not floor people participate in the pool, are ‘tipped out’ by dealers, or are untipped, varies depending on actual job, and from place to place.
Tips that are given to, and kept by, employees – be they dealers or pit bosses – must be reported as income on the 1040 in addition to any allocated tips reported by the employer. Is every dealer or pit boss completely forthcoming about how much they make in tips. Sure… just as every waitress, cabby, hairdresser or stripper is.
