My best poker run is well over 5000 dollars on FullTilt(not a HUGE winning, but a very healthy bankroll). I started with 500 dollars, and played .25/.5 until I unlocked my 100% bonus. At this point I accumulated about 1500 total, and from there I played 1/2 until I built my bankroll to about 2500. At 2500 I moved up to .5/1, and at 3000 I played 1/2. From there I was able to accumulate an additional 2000, and at around 5000 dollars I cashed out. I didnt play SnGs at all unless it was heads up, and I played in the occasional tournament, however, 85% of my money was in Cash games.

My only advice is dont play at a level where you feel uncomfortable. If you have 50 dollars, dont play with one buy-in at .5/1. Play at .05/.1 or something where you can bluff it all and not care.

Also my run was on FullTilt, but if you need a alternative room, I reccomend Bodog. I play on there now and there are seemingly a lot more action players/fish on there. If you sign up refer me. P155CB20. Peace, and good luck.

At one of the online game rooms Zone, Yahoo, Postopia, or somewhere else I played this game. I want to know where it was and what it was. I was a cowboy and I had to win poker tournaments and cash games to win money in the town. I think after I won all of the money in the town I would then go to the next town and so on.

They are real, but most have catches that you can’t cash them in until you play several hundred hands or wait a specified amount of time.

I deposited $ 100, turned it into $ 300 then lost that. Then I won $ 2500 in a tournament and turned it into $ 3000 shortly after. Over the next 12hrs I ended up losing it all and now I feel shitfaced like never before.

I don’t know what I should do cuz this is putting me in a major slump but how can I handle this loss!?
It’s not fixed…obviously. I technically didn’t lose $ 100 (from my wallet, yes) because I had the chance to withdraw the 3g’s if I wanted to…
I don’t need to know to quit gambling and stuff, I’m looking for a way to deal with the slumps cuz this has got me lying in bed sick…I know I got a problem, I’m not in denial.
Thanks for the guy that covered the actual question of how to deal with myself from it. I was playing $ 10/20 Limit and to be honest I played solid…the guy was a major donk who would just raise/bet with nothing (at times he’d go to showdown for a $ 200 pot with jack high) but he got the best of me on about 15 rivers in the matter of half an hour and it killed my cash flow to the point where I started playing emotionially and went on “tilt”

I’ve recently been playing some of my strongest poker (hence my 2.5k win) but the fact that I lost 3k now makes things a lot messed up and I don’t know what to do. With the gambling mind I say I got to win it back somehow but…yeh

Poker isn’t 100% gambling but there is a gamble to it too.

Technically you only lost 100 dollars. The rest you gave back to the site. Let it go, and stop gambling online…don’t you know that crap is fixed?

If you can’t stop doing it, and it is causing you grief about your choice not to take your winnings and leave, then its gambling. you took a $ 2900 windfall and gambled at the chance of making more. I know it takes skill to play poker, I have placed top 10 in WSOP events, but what you are doing is gambling, not skill. The real skill would have been to walk away with the $ 2900 a winner. This is the reason most pro poker players are able to make a living at it. They don’t gamble their winnings.

And there are bots that play on those sites, if you don’t know that just go to youtube and look up absolute poker. You will see how the CEO took down lots of people by being able to see all their cards. Online poker is illegal, therefore it is not controlled by anyone. If they didn’t pay you your winnings, just who would you call to complain? Do you think you could take them to small claims court? Do some homework and read up on it, then stop going to those sites with a vendetta to “win it all back”. You lost $ 100, and the sooner you see that the easier it will be for you to get past it.

I like fulltilt a lot more then stars but can still qualify for the stars 100% deposit bonus. What would you do with your 1000 if it was you to grind up the stakes. (much better tournament player)

If you are a new player on pokerstars you can of course get the 100% deposit bonus.

As for the bankroll management. If you had $ 1000 you should play $ 20 SNGs

I was wondering if anyone knows a good online poker site, not necessarly a European one, but with good tourneys, and especially some that start around 10 or 11 pm, not at 4:00am, like most U.S player targeted rooms… for the moment I play at Bugsy’s Club, which I like but the hours are just too off.

Any recommendations?

What I love is cheap SAT tournaments that lead to good prize tourney.

Online Poker is so popular, tournaments are pretty much all day, without worry about where you live.

Cheap buy-ins and huge prizes are a great draw, these are the sites that have the most competition and fun.
