Question by KDJ: Poker sites lose money at night in tournaments?
Alot of poker tournament online at nigt have garenties of 2000 $ or more and well the number of entry and the prices just dont match the prize pool.

Like one of the tournaments is 30$ plus 3 buck of extra with 12 entrys for 2000 of prize pool…
This is on 888poker.com and on fulltipoker alot of there tournaments just dont add up.

Is night time realy the time to join tournaments or am i missing something. If i win will i actuly get paid such a ridiculous prize pool for my money.

It’s called overlay, and you’ll be able to find some tournaments that have it. Most sites will constantly update their schedule to ensure they aren’t consistently losing money on certain tournies. But if you play a tournament with overlay you’re guaranteed the money.

On Sunday, there was a tourney on I believe Party Poker that had an overlay of over 350k. It was the biggest in the history of online poker.

I am throwing a casino night birthday party for my husband. I want it to be fun for our guests. I want my guests to play games but I don’t want to tie anyone down to a table (to deal all night). And I can’t afford to hire dealers. And I don’t think they want to play games all night anyway, so I need ideas on quick and easy games to play.

Kind of like baby shower games. I have awesome prizes but need help with the games.

Try a few rounds of bingo or pokino (pokino is like bingo, only instead of B-12, I-72 etc. the boards are made of a collage of playing cards, so you call out things like, “Queen of Diamonds” or “Two of Hearts” and people mark their boards. You could even try making your own birthday-themed bingo cards.

Try group games like Taboo or Pictionary, but make it casino-themed. Or try Roulette. Everyone can play that..
