I am now in other country for time being. But I want to play with my friends poker. Is there any software, which let me host online poker game?
I talk about free game, no buy-in or prizes. Just fun and completely free.

all the online poker clients have “free” options

i suggest bodog poker, it has the best user interface

but AOL/AIM has free poker rooms too, and yahoo

I have seen where people have posted videos on the web showing an online poker game they are playing. A buddy of mine said he knew of some kind of software that would record from the desktop, but he couldn’t remember what it was called.

Does anybody know of this? Or have you used anything like this to record a poker game as you were playing it?

Do you mean that you what to record games on your PC?
If so, what you need is a screen video capture program.
Try to use a screen recorder called Total Screen Recorder
I think it suits you

Texas holdem you get to acrds in your hand five on the board highest hand wins heres hand orders pair two pair three pair staright flush staright flush full house four of a kind and royal flush you have 5 betting rounds if you have a bad hand hand you can still win by bluffing and making your oppenent fold there hand.

I mean would it be legal, within the United States, to run an online poker (or anything gambling related for general purposes) game for fake currency?

Subsequently, is it STILL legal if players were allowed to exchange the fake currency for real currency?

I’m not sure, but I think sites like CentSports.com are following this (unsure if tehy’re US-based).

although it may be expensive to start a free poker site it is legal because it is only a game and not gambling. As for th latter you cannot have money transfers involved.

No Limit Texas Hold’Em

Basic rules go…
-you’re given two cards
-round of betting occurs in order
-flop comes, 3 community cards
-round of betting occurs
-turn comes, 1 card on the community board
-round of betting occurs
-the river card completes the 5 on the board
-round of beting, followed by a showdown

now..anyone can go all in at any time on their turn to bet, and if they are vs 1 perosn, everyone turns up their cards…also, most hands dont go all the way to the river due to people folding out instead of calling or raising

Five card draw is the most common one I noticed – but they have pretty much every variation of poker you could think of in Vegas.

Is there any kind of etiquette for leaving the table for a restroom break, make a phone call, etc. Should you bring your chips with you when you leave and are planning on coming back?

If you are planning on comming back leave your chips at your spot. Ask the dealer to put down a marker resembling that the spot is being held and politely excuse yourself as you would if you were getting up from a dinner with friends. When you come back wait until the next hand before joining back in.

Every online poker site has the free play chips option in their software.
You can choose any site you want. Pokerstars has some good, smooth running software, but there are plenty of other sites you could choose from like Full Tilt, Unibet, Betfair, Party poker, 888, etc
