there is a new casino 30 minutes from me. i played video poker when i went there before. i only spent $ 10, but i thought i was pretty good, even though i ended up losing all. do you think its possible to win more? its like 24 cents or more per play, is it all luck?

The odds are against you. Remember the odds always favor the house with slot machines and video poker machines. In the long run you’ll lose.
However if you use optimal video poker strategy you’ll lose slower. It’s always possible that you’ll get lucky with a Royal Flush, but don’t count on it. If you just want to go and have fun then go. Take $ 10 or $ 20 with you and consider it the cost of a fun evening. Just don’t bet more than you can afford to lose.

How exactly do you think you were “pretty good” at video poker?
Either you are familiar with the best strategy, or you aren’t. Even if you are, the odds aren’t in your favor to win. Could you win? Sure you could.
But I’d really like to hear how you think you were pretty good at the game losing your $ 10.

That sort of mindset is what keeps casinos in business…video poker and slot machines are among the biggest money-makers for casinos. If you play and happen to win something early, STOP. Keep playing and you’re guaranteed to lose it all, sooner or later.
10 bucks won’t do it…you gotta make the maximum bet to get the bonus on the royal flush ..otherwise it is luck and a 5% house edge…….
