I’ve never played at Fallsview but have played poker at many different casino’s and they always charge a rake. I’ve never ever heard of a session fee before in my life. The rake is generally 5% of the pot. So on a $ 20 pot the casino would take $ 1. They only take a rake if the hand goes to a flop. And there is always a maximum rake – most common maximum rake is $ 5. So even on a $ 300 pot they would only take a rake of $ 5.

These sites are subscription based, that is you pay a monthly fee, and play in freerolls all month long. I am a member of three of them. The poker is very very loose, you will be called by anyone with anything anytime. And there are a lot of all in raises in the first several rounds.

In my opinion, they are all about the same, and they all pay pretty quickly. The advantage is that they are USA legal, and US Players can play there with no worries about gambling laws or deposit/withdrawal hassles.

The best of the lot is probably Spade, since they also have blackjack.

I live in Tennessee, and i know that there are casinos in neighboring states, but I’m really looking for the best one for Texas Hold’em. Any help would be appreciated.
I thank you for the help, but I mean “in person” tournements. I’m planning my next vacation soon (and have no preference on where I go, really) and I think a big tourney would be a fun activity on vacation.

depends what realtively cheap is to u but for 100 to 300 $ my favorite casino is foxwoods in conn. they always have a tleast 100 players in their daily tournaments.

lso at foxwoods starting in march they have 300$ and up world poker tour tournaments with thousands of players

Question by Jay C: what can i do to increase my chances of winning an online poker tourney?
heres my dilemma… i play in no limit poker tournaments everyday and i can usually always get a massive amount of chips….but then my bad luck sets in and i suffer one horrible beat after another.

ive tried sitting out, playing super tight, bluffing and mixing it up but i always get knocked out. when the tournament has hundreds i can almost always place in the top 50, when the tournament has thousands i can almost always place in the top 200.

ive been playing at least two tournaments a day for over a year ….im 22 been playing since 17 and ive only won a few tourneys and never first place…

any tips?specific tips on how to play a large stack would be nice…perhaps a link to some poker pro tips….thanx.

poker isnt always about betting each round, learn to fold more often than bluffing…

I played at this casino once, it is VERY VERY small, i doubt they would have room to host a poker game, if they did they would be biting the bullet on more profitable games which they would have to get rid of, in a casino as small as that maximizing profit per square foot is important and i just dont think they would take a loss in revenue by adding poker tables and removing slot machines especially in the current financial state most casinos are right now.

When I play in poker tournaments on Poker Stars, I never seem to get good cards, or win a big pot. Then I look to see who has the most chips, and most of the time they are up to around 20,000. Is there a certain stradegy that good players use to win all that money. If anybody would be willing to tell me how I can win more, I would appreciate it. Don’t know if it means anything but I play with fake money, not real. I play in freeroll tournaments.

Go to your local library and check out some books on poker. I found a really good one, can’t remember the title, but it helped me get the 38,000 chips on PokerStars I have now.

I only risk 400 chips at a time. If I lose all of those, it’s a bad day/night and I leave the tables. Having a goal helps, too. My goal is 800 chips, if I get it I leave.

In blackjack the player must act first and might must…that is the house edge.

But in 3 card poker where the house and the player both get 3 cards, and the best hand wins, I don’t see where there is a house edge. Also, the player gets better than 1 to 1 for his money if he gets a good hand. I don’t see where the house has an edge.
First sentence is supposed to say might “bust”…not “must”.
