Question by kiwiiwik: what is a good poker site with good startup bonus, that doesn’t have a high minimum withdrawal?
I want to open a new account somewhere. When I started with Fulltilt and also Bwin, I didn’t have enough money to take advantage of the startup bonus. I now want try new site but I dont want one like Fulltilt where the minimum withdrawal by bank transfer is $ 100US. I like it with Bwin that its only 30Eur minimum withdrawal.

Any suggestions???

My favorite is PokerStars. You can either play free play games with play money or choose to give a credit card and play cash games and tournaments.

How do you go about organizing a friendly, local poker tournament? Buy-ins? Prizes? Player limits? Free drinks? Security? Any suggestions on how to promote the tournament?

plan for the buy ins – the more cheaper the possible more player
choose your target players – age etc – or make it open to all
get a venue – ready all the stuff needed for the game
think of prizes that would motivate players to join

you can advertise over the papers or online
tell everyone you know first and that could spread to everyone

I am not sure of any tornaments but did find the following link with email addresses of local players who get together and play on different nights.
