I’m from the US but want to join an online poker/casino/sportsbet site that doesn’t allow US customers. How?

Question by Eat F: I’m from the US but want to join an online poker/casino/sportsbet site that doesn’t allow US customers. How?

Well, I have been playing on pokerstars for about 7 years now but just found out about the whole rigging software. So I wanted to make a switch to partypoker in protest, but they won’t allow US customers. Party poker also lets you do sports bets and online roulette which I like.

You don’t. You can use proxies to fool the site into thinking you are from another country, but then your address, credit card number etc. will give it away.

What is the deal with online poker? Can you still play on the sites like party poker in the US or not?

Question by Edwin: What is the deal with online poker? Can you still play on the sites like party poker in the US or not?
I want to know if you can still play online poker on Party Poker or any sites like it if you live in the US?

Best answer:

Answer by Joe R
I believe the law they passed makes it impossible for you to gamble at such sites. Something like making it illegal for a credit card company to deal with them. So you can still play, just not with real money.

What’s a good site to play online poker for free?

Question by meinsla: What’s a good site to play online poker for free?
I want to find a good site to play online poker completely free without playing for real money. I’d be willing to download something or just play it in a web browser. I am just looking to hone my skills for times when I get together and play with the guys. A place with Texas Hold ‘Em is preferred.

What are some inexpensive annual poker tournaments around the world?

Question by JudasHero: What are some inexpensive annual poker tournaments around the world?
I’m hoping for some in the range of $ 100-$ 500 that are held every year, since I’m sure exactly when I’ll be going.
Seriously, any place in the world would be great, but I suppose I’m leaning towards the US. However, any place where I can stay for 3-7 days cheaply and have other things to do besides poker would also be great. I’d like to stay in the same area, but not necessarily go to the same casino every day.

Your best bet is to look at the schedule for World Series of Poker Circuit Events. These are held all over the country at various casinos. They have tournaments from about $ 300 or so, right up to $ 10,000. The prizes are usually pretty impressive and the winner gets a WSOP ring. Not quite a bracelet, but cool nonetheless.

The other option is to look at the regular tournaments in the obvious places like Vegas and Atlantic City. You’ll find $ 100-$ 500 tournaments pretty much every day of the week. Just take a look in the back of Card Player magazine for a listing.

In the buy in range you are looking for, there are hundreds of events all over the world going on all the time.

Q&A: We brag about our freedom yet; Why are we the only country that online Poker is illegal?

Question by pompanopete0: We brag about our freedom yet; Why are we the only country that online Poker is illegal?
I have become a criminal at 60+, I play online Poker for real money. Yesterday I won twenty eight cents. Just to prove a point that its not so much the money to me as it is about my freedoms!
I would play for more money but my bank won’t transfer the funds to a poker site.
What do you think about this?

Best answer:

Answer by GamblingMaster
Actually online poker is not illegal in USA. As you already know banks wont let you deposit, but they have a reason. There is law that forbids banks to allow transfers to gambling sites, but there is not law against online gambling, meaning that for you its legal to play.
Now you must be wondering how to deposit and withdraw. There are alternative deposit methods such as all access visa gift cards or echecks, that are proven to work. You can withdraw from poker sites with checks.

poker tournaments

Question by © paul d ~ LFC ~: what is a good percentage of cashes in poker tournaments?
In 9 man sit and goes where 3 people are payed if you are cashing in over 33% is this good? what percentage should you ideally be hitting?

also what would you think is a good percentage for multi-table tournaments of between 90 – 180.

thank you :)

Best answer:

Answer by LegFuJohnson
It’s about ROI, not just cashing. You can cash 50% of the time, but if it’s always 3rd, then you end up losing.

But you can cash only 33% of the time, but if you are taking 1st place, then you are making a profit.

Where can I complain about online poker not being fair?

poker online

Question by liar: Where can I complain about online poker not being fair?
Online poker is not fair, it’s rigged and it seems that we, the honest players can’t do anything about it. I want to know if there’s any kind of institution, petition , or something that can help ban online poker. It’s getting way to obvious, we need to stop this HUGE scam.

Answer by Blah Charles
You are a poor poker player. Stay away from the tables.

I happen to know multiple people that make a lot of money playing online poker.
