Jacks or Better video poker bonus game. Is it a good bet?

Question by Kyle: Jacks or Better video poker bonus game. Is it a good bet?
I was playing jacks or better video poker and where I was playing they had a bonus game after you won where you can double your win if you want. A card apears and you pick one of four cards. If the card is higher you double your win. If you lose you lse your total bet initially won. Is this a good bet? Does anyone know a stratigy for this game?

Many video poker games and slot machines are not beatable even if you follow an exact strategy. The only way to beat these games is if you are getting a casino bonus by playing them. I would try learning the strategy of Hold em Poker and playing it either online or in the casino. Good luck!

Is it or is it not legal for US citizens to play poker online for money?

Question by chzbrgr: Is it or is it not legal for US citizens to play poker online for money?
I’ve seen sites like PokerStars and FullTilt that offer for-money games open to US players, but I’ve also heard repeatedly that online poker is illegal here. These sites are big operations, not exactly running under the table, so how does that work?

It’s all relative but hey, that’s the top 10%, that’s not bad. If you’re just starting out, that’s damn good. If you’ve been playing for years, I’d say that’s disappointing.
Also, if that’s a freeroll or a low buy-in tournament, I’d say you might have gotten lucky, but if you’re consistently getting in the top 5-10%, you’re probably a competent player. If that’s a medium buy-in tournie, I’d say that’s pretty good.

How do you become a casino poker dealer?

Question by Andrew C: How do you become a casino poker dealer?
I’ve been dealing underground games for quite some time now and anytime I go to a casino and watch the dealers there’s nothing they do that I can’t. I’m wondering if I should let my prospective employer know if I have worked underground games?

Answer by Tyler
I doubt that will work, you definitely have to go about getting a license and that usually means a dealing school course. It’s usually around a 90-100 hour credit course and can be found at different places around the country. Here are a few of them…………

Question by Kaboom: How can i stop myself from playing online poker?
Not really an addictive personality or major gambling problem…..but when i get bored, i just find that i enjoy playing online poker more than anything else. Good enough that i break even in long run, so i’m not losing much money, but its the time and opportunity cost that bothers me.
