Question by bigwheels1031: Who has the best poker freeroll tournaments?
I currently play freeroll no limit hold’em poker tournaments at Bodog but am looking for something different. Specifically I am looking for an earlier start time or better odds to place in the money. Here are the details of Bodog’s freeroll

Start time: 9:40 PM EST
starting stack: 1,000 chips
max 5,000 players
00
top 99 make the money

That’s actually an excellent deal as online poker freerolls go. I like to compare freerolls by dividing the prize pool by the number of players. For this one, 5000 players/00 is 20 cents per player. So, it’s like getting a free entry into a tournament with a 20 cent buyin. By way of comparison, Pokerstars and Full Tilt routinely run freerolls that give away less than one cent per player!

Party Poker always used to have the best freerolls however. If you are lucky enough to live outside the U.S., check them out.

If you’re just looking for a change of pace (or different start times), check out http://www.nlop.com . Their freerolls are about as good as the ones you’re playing at Bodog.

If you play online poker regularly, and say you’ve earned a hypothetical ,000 in one year. How much in taxes would you pay? Would there be any exceptions or special circumstances?

Depends on the country.

Then it depends on your income. (And of course, if you declare it).

If you make 20K a year, then you’d add the 5K and pay taxes on 25K. If you make 100K a year, then you’d declare 105K and pay taxes. You’d pay a higher rate of taxes if you made 105K..

It’s income tax, not a gambling tax.

Wondering if you can play online poker while using dial up internet service. Will be staying in a place that can only get dial up. Will the game go too slow or disconnect too often with dial up? Thanks!

Yes, you can play using a dial up service, but you may have issues with disconnection.

Question by Confused Guy: Is it illegal for me to play poker for money online?
Well i play poker online for fun and wanted to start playing for real money but i heard there is a bill against that in the US. Can anyone tell me more about this? Also, i use fulltilt and pokerstars, are these sites good for real money play? And if so how can i go about doing it with the bill being there? I get poker magazines in the mail and see that many americans are winning big online but dont know how with the bill the US has. Can someone help me out?

buddy just check out http://www.casinostoplayat.com/ and get to know more about gambling laws. Its UIGEA law that considers online gambling still illegal in the United States. Well, there are online casinos directed for the US players as well. These sites like Golden Casino, Cherry Red Casino offers US players the true essence of playing online. There are many sites which offer onling casino betting both for fun and for real money. If its at all illegal i don’t think these casinos could have exist

Gambling is fine as long as you see it as an entertainment.
Losing and winning is part of the entertainment and you should see it only this way. Do not get into the habit of trying to get back any potential losses and the most important do not assume that you will win every time.

Set a budget that you know that you can afford to lose, and if you dont lose then enjoy your winnings. Do not assume that next time will be a similar situation. maybe yes, maybe no.

Gambling companies are screening users it is required by the law.

But the key thing is to see it as entertainment with self control
