Question by Linda: How do I set up a private Poker online tournament?
I’d like to host a private online Poker tournament for my company, but I’m curious which sites let you do this without having an insane amount of FFP? Also, is it possible to set up a tournament for play money, or do they only offer cash tournaments?

Do you have to report your earnings from playing poker online to the IRS on your taxes?

If so, is there a designated amount that doesn’t need to be reported – and everything above that does?

If it matters by state – I am curious about California.

Also, the way the monies are received from the poker site are via check.

I want to practice dealing on a real casino poker table, what are the measurments of the tables? Also, what kind of cards do they use? Bridge sized?

There is no standard size for tables in poker. Almost all tables used for poker in casino play are 8 1/2 or 9 feet long.

hmm good question! the 2 most easy sites to win on are PKR poker and paciffic poker…the bonus on paciffic poker and PKR are hard to get and not very good but the people are so bad it dont matter. Both fulltilt and Pokerstars only give you good bonus’s if you play loads every day of every month which can be unfair.

But saying that Pokerstars is the best place in the world for tournaments..they do take for ever though but they have huge prizepools!!! in the recent WCOOP the main event had a 10.2 million prizepool!!! lol!!

I live in Maine and i play poker all the time in my county and always do very well, I would say my odds of winning are around 80% of the time, which I feel are very good odds. Now does anybody know where there are bigger tournaments in Maine or around the area?
lol I actually use Poker Stars at the moment. I use that one and Players Only Poker!

I have used Holdem Indicator which tells you the odds of your handing winning in comparison to the pot odds. I find it very useful as i struggle with poker calculations / maths, so its perfect for me.
